Minutes of the Board of the Huddersfield Town Supporters' Association (HTSA) - 04.04.2025

Season Card Pricing and Fan Engagement

 

The board discussed developments relating to season card pricing:

• Results from the HTSA season card price survey of the HTAFC fanbase were released on 7th March 2025

• The results had been shared with both the club and supporters in advance, following comments made to HTAFC at the January ATT meeting regarding the importance of data-led decisions regarding season card prices.

 

The board noted that

•         HTAFC released its season card pricing on 20th March 2025.

•         Price increases ranged from 66% to 134%, with young supporters particularly impacted.

 

 

 

 

Engagement with Fan Groups and Joint Statement

 

The board noted positives from the situation were:

• constructive discussions with other supporter groups were held and demonstrated the ability to co-ordinate well.

• Subsequent joint statement had the desired impact.

 

The board discussed:

• The impact of season card price increases on the fanbase

• The joint statement issued

• The potential implications for, and changes to, the club’s ticket pricing policy

 

Possible next steps were also considered.

 

 

ATT Update

 

It was noted that:

• The next ATT meeting date had been announced for 1st  May 2025

• Season card prices would be a key item for discussion at that meeting

 

The board also agreed that agenda items should be submitted for the forthcoming ATT meeting and that these would be decided at the AGM whilst giving members the chance for input.

 

 

Annual General Meeting (AGM)

 

The board discussed the logistics of the AGM, scheduled for 9th  April 2025.

 

It was noted that:

• HTSA accounts had been approved by the board on 4th April 2025

• Election Management Group (EMG) had confirmed that elections had been conducted in line with the HTSA Constitution

• EMG had submitted a statement to be read out at the AGM confirming this.

 

 

Financial Matters

 

The board noted the following:

• HTSA had restarted its Zoom subscription in preparation for the AGM.  This would mean an annual payment of £155.88.  The board discussed how there may be more cost effective options of replacing this service.

 

 

External Engagement

 

The board noted that:

• ABr had attended the Football Supporters’ Association AGM on 21st  May 2025

 

 

Correspondence with the Club

 

The board confirmed that:

• HTSA had sent an email to HTAFC on 30 March 2025 regarding season cards.

• This correspondence restated HTSA’s position, submitted specific requests, and sought clarification on statements made by club representatives.

 

 

Next Meeting

 

The next board meeting date was to be confirmed but the board members would meet again at the AGM on the 9th April.
